Winter is in the air, and snow is forecast for this weekend. Time to get out your warm, woolly hand-knits. It's also time to think about knitting items for your Christmas gift giving. Please consider adding some military families to your list.

I have mentioned Anchorage first lady Deborah Bonito's project, the Military Family Initiative, in other columns. Bonito began her project as a way to show the families of deployed military troops that our city cares about them.
