They may be grandmas but they don't do your grandma's knitting.
At a time when knitting has become chic and knitting groups for young business women are springing up around the nation, the Anna Maria Island Community Center has recently started hosting a group called Knit-n-Sit.4

Granted, all of the current members of the group are, well, grandmas, but they aren't just making dish towels and socks.

"You can really knit anything," said Barbara Hines, the group instructor. "People knit purses and shoes and even bikinis. But people our age aren't going to wear them." [more]
